The Adaklu District Assembly presented 25 bundles of roofing membranes to the victims of a rainstorm in Adaklu Kpogadzi in Adaklu District.
The rainstorm, which displaced about 124 residents, tore off the roofs of 30 buildings.
Mr. Phanuel Kadey Donkor, General Director of Adaklu District, who presented the items on behalf of the congregation, asked them to seek expert advice before renovating their buildings.
Mr Donkor said that although 54 bundles of roofing sheets were required after an assessment of the damage, the congregation could only afford 25 bundles for financial reasons.
DCE took the opportunity to reach out to people, develop the culture of maintenance and regularly strengthen their buildings.
Mr. Nicholas Amanfu, Adaklu District NADMO coordinator, said his organization will continue to raise support for them.
He therefore urged the residents of the district to get the congregation’s permission before setting up any form of structure.
The DCE also urged citizens to pay their property records to the congregation, adding that those who fail to pay will be brought to justice.
