The Solar Power Events group is hosting the first series of renewable events of the year in Florida.
Alexandria, VA – Solar Power Events, owned by the Solar Energy Industries Association and the Smart Electric Power Alliance, have just completed the newest series of events in their portfolio, the Smart Energy Market Tour. The outdoor tour lasted a week in Florida and visited four cities, Miami, Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville. CED Greentech and Jinko Solar hosted the tour stops.
The Smart Energy Market Tour was born out of necessity and innovation as COVID-19 challenged the events industry. But because the business doesn’t stop, the Solar Power Events team created a safer way for exhibitors to meet with attendees, move business forward while minimizing risk.
All four stations were hosted outside of the CED Greentech or Jinko locations, and event guests were asked to follow strict safety guidelines, including wearing a mask, social distancing, regular disinfection, and doing a COVID-19 health screening prior to the event. Each stop only lasted four hours to ensure guests didn’t linger too long.
“We know that virtual events cannot replace face-to-face interactions. COVID-19 has forced us to rethink our event model to find new ways to host personal events that make business easier,” said Stephen Miner, President & CEO. Solar energy measurement. “We heard from a number of exhibitors who wanted a safe way to meet potential buyers. They loved it when we suggested this format to them and they had a great week in Florida. We look forward to Market Tours to extend to other states. ”
During the week, almost 20 exhibitors followed the event through Florida and saw a total of over 400 participants. Stopovers were food trucks and live music.
“The Smart Market Tour was a great start into 2021 to make more personal contacts by staying safe outside. We, Roof Tech US, have been organizing our roadshows with our demo roof across North America over the past few years. to work with other major solar manufacturers to provide a more comprehensive show for all solar installation companies in the region. We look forward to the next tour, “said Traci Huggans, Marketing Coordinator at Roof Tech US.
The Smart Energy Market Tour will go on tour again in April. The locations are still to be determined. To be notified when new tour stops are announced, join the mailing list.
Also on the horizon for Solar Power Events is Solar & Storage Northeast, a hybrid virtual training event from June 7th to 8th and a personal exhibition inside and outside the Westin Boston Waterfront from June 9th to 10th. Smart Energy Week 2021 will take place in person from September 20-23 in New Orleans, LA, alongside virtual education. More information can be found at events.solar.
