Natural Power, the leading renewable energy consultancy and service provider, has advised NTR to support the acquisition of a 54 MW portfolio of solar and battery storage projects in Co. Wexford, Ireland.
Natural Power’s advisory team consisted of solar and storage experts, electrical engineers, contract consultants, operations and safety experts from our offices in Ireland, the UK and the USA. The services offered include a review of supply, construction and operating contracts. Design review; Security advice, advice on grid connection as well as evaluation of the solar yield and location optimization.

The portfolio acquired from renewable energy developer RES includes two battery storage projects, which will expand the Irish grid by 25 MW of storage capacity, as well as 29 MW of solar PV. Two of the solar projects received 16 year CFD tariffs under the first Irish RESS-1 auction and the battery storage projects are for the provision of grid services through the Irish DS3 grid utility. The project portfolio will go into operation in 2022.
