Yes, we’ve all heard that Taylor Swift released her ninth studio album.
But can we take a minute to bask in Kacey Musgraves and Troye Sivan’s denim-clad, dreamy disco video for their latest collab, “Easy,” that somehow slid in under the radar this week? The Golden, Texas, songstress joined up with Sivan around this time last year to release their holiday song “Glittery” for “The Kacey Musgraves Christmas Show.”
But this year’s approach—featuring Mark Ronson—looks quiet different.
The traditionally stylish superstars embody a trashy-trendy vibe to a T as they galavant around the less … shall we say … refined parts of Nashville—jumping from motel, to dive bar, to adult toy store to the tune of Ronson’s bumping synthetic beat.
Cowboy hats, fringe jeans, and line dancing fill the screen, but the hair (oh the hair!) is the real star of the four minutes of eye candy.
Musgraves enters the scene with a bleach blonde mop that she’s box-dying over the sink, while Sivan dons a flowing, chocolate-brown mullet that would make any Texan proud. “I know I’m not easy, darling,” she croons. But Kacey, let us tell you, loving this new release certainly is.
