If a child’s tree house could grow into adulthood, the house at 88 Stoney Lea Road in Dedham gives an idea of what that might look like.

And this big tree house is for sale.

Listed at $ 1,050,000The house, built in 1969, has four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a half bath with a living space of approximately 4,000 square feet. It is located on 1.19 acres and has four parking spaces.

The saleswoman and artist Lisa Houck gave the house her own personal touch, said listing agent Hope McDermott. These include sandblasted glass doors, as well as the yellow and black tiles on the family room fireplace. The roof was also replaced when she bought the house and she opted for strips with two different colored shingles, according to information on the house provided by McDermott.

The family and living rooms each have a fireplace and deck access. The kitchen has granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, the listing says. The home office has its own separate entrance. There is also a fitness room.

With a total of four levels, the bedrooms occupy the third and fourth levels. The master bedroom has a full bathroom, walk-in closet and access to one of the decks of the house.

The home also has plenty of windows and decks so residents can appreciate the wooded surroundings. The decks on the second level are actually level with the nearby tree tops, McDermott said.

“[Houck] loves the breeze that comes in through the large sliding glass doors, the natural surroundings, ”said McDermott. “She feels like in a tree house.”

The house also feels “very open”, according to McDermott. Some rooms have high ceilings and interesting angles.

“It has a central staircase that the house wraps itself around and the view is inviting outside,” she said.
