When you’re in the process of renovating your home, replacing the windows isn’t exactly the most glamorous task – and it can easily cost a small fortune.
Now, instead of spending £ 8,000 on professional work, a savvy DIY fan has revealed how she remodeled her outdated windows with old nail polish and a £ 2 glass scraper on a budget.

On her TikTok account, Klaire explained how she saved £ 7,500 herself by renovating her windows.
In the viral clip, the DIY fan documented every phase of the process – in which the dated tour was initially removed.
After she and her partner completed this task, Klaire pinned a 2-pound glass scraper to remove any remaining glue.
Next, they used the scraper to remove the top layer of wood-effect vinyl from the windowsill.

Determined to keep costs down, she used an old nail polish to remove the glue from underneath.
Klaire prepared the window frame for a fresh coat of paint, then cleaned it with sugar soap and quick sanding.
The couple used two cans of Frenchic’s ‘City Slicker’ paint to add a modern touch to the exterior of their home.
When they were done, they added some frosted stickers to their living room window to prevent passers-by from looking directly into the house.
Then they painted the frame gray

The video garnered over 31,000 “likes” on TikTok and other users were blown away by the transformation.
One wrote, “Well done, they look great!”
“Nice job,” added another, “you are great!”
“It’s amazing what a little vision can do,” enthused a third.
